New Home Monitoring Systems for elderly.  Fridges, kettles and curtains of patients who are frail, elderly or who have dementia to be wired-up to make sure they are eating properly and getting out of bed, as part of a new NHS pilot to allow people to stay in their own homes for longer.  People with dementia will also be given tracking devices, fall alerts and devices that alert to change in walking patterns. www.telegraph.co.uk
